FAQChildren’s dentistry

At what age should I take my child to the dentist?

It’s a good idea to start caring for your child’s mouth as soon as the first baby tooth appears. The first check-up can take place from age 3 to 4, followed by a scaling and cleaning every 6 to 12 months.

Do baby teeth need to be treated?

Yes. Baby teeth are used for chewing and speaking, and they hold space for the permanent teeth. An untreated cavity can also affect the permanent tooth underneath.

How can I protect my child’s teeth from cavities?

Brushing two to three times a day with fluoride toothpaste, limiting sugar, and regular check-ups are essential. From around age 6, fissure sealants may be recommended.
