FAQHygiene and prevention
Dental prevention: how can you avoid cavities?
A check-up every six months, a yearly scaling and cleaning, and brushing for two minutes morning and night are enough to prevent the vast majority of cavities. We add a fluoride varnish when the enamel is weakened.
Electric or manual toothbrush: which should you choose?
Both are effective; it’s the technique that counts. An electric toothbrush mainly helps people who brush too hard or too fast, by regulating pressure and duration.
Scaling and cleaning: how often should you have it done?
Once a year is enough for most patients. Twice a year if you smoke, are prone to gingivitis, or wear orthodontic braces.
